We find Risk Management is often just paid lip service to, but there is little point spending the time to identify and assess project risks and opportunities if you don’t then actively manage them.
We can offer this important service as a bolt-on to our Project Management service or a stand alone service. We can also provide an independent Risk Workshop Facilitator which many Clients have found particularly useful in the past.
With one of our education clients we were able to utilise their “smart board” technology with voting software to score and rank risks anonymously avoiding bias from more vocal team members, with very interesting results.
As mentioned above, regular monitoring and management of risks and risk registers is key to looking forward and being proactive rather than reacting to issues as they arise. The most important thing we have found for successful Risk Management is clear and appropriate ownership of risks, by that we mean individuals who not only have the accountability but importantly can directly undertake the actions required to mitigate or manage the risk.
